Tráth na gCeist

Ar an gCéadaoin ghlac daltaí ó Rang a 4,5 agus 6 páirt i tráth na gceist a bhí ar siúl do Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Bhain gach duine an sult as na ceisteanna a bhí á phlé acu.

Rinne Ms. Harvey an – jab ar fad ag eagrú an tráth na gceist ar fad!

Comhgairdeas do na buaiteoirí!

Green Day Thursday 16th of March

Amazing work done on the school garden!!

On Friday the 10th of March volunteers from Amdocs Software Systems came in to our school to revamp our school garden.

They cleared weeds, cleaned out the pond, varnished the benches and planted lovely new flowers for us to enjoy. They did absolutely trojan work!!

This was all organised by Volunteer Ireland and we are extremely grateful for their support.

Take a look for yourself…

Walk on Wednesday!!

On Wednesday the 15th of February both staff and students took part in our first Walk on Wednesday. This was organised by the Ms. Mahon and her very hard working Green School Committee.

As you can see from the pictures we had two empty car parks and it was great to see the whole school take part on the day.

Well done to Ms. Mahon and her Green School Committee for all the work they put into organising the day.

Last Friday the whole school took part in Operation Transformation’s 10@10. We had great fun taking part in a short Zumba session in the yard.

FLOWER ARRANGING

In the run up to Christmas, we were joined once again by Maria, a very talented lady, for some flower arranging classes. The classes proved to be very popular and we have some very talented parents in our school. Well done to all the parents who attended the classes and showed such great talent. If you are interested in attending a flower arranging class, contact Yvonne in the school or Sr Rita in the Haven.

Christmas Cake Making

At the beginning of December, our parents got very creative and joined our Christmas baking class. We baked the cakes on week one and iced them the following week. We had great fun and made some fantastic cakes.

Christmas Carol Singing

The school choir have been extra busy this year bringing lovely Christmas Carols all over Dublin!

The choir have performed in various places but most notably raising money for the school in Marks and Spencers in Dundrum Shopping Centre as well as the Black Santa Charity Fundraiser outside St. Anne’s Church on Dawson Street.

Well done to the choir who can now take a well deserved break from performing over their two weeks off!
