On Tuesday, the 15th of December, the school choir braved the elements to make their way to a cold and wet Dawson Street. When they got there they wowed passers-by as they sang Christmas carols and drummed on the Samba drums. They did all this in the name of raising money for charity. Well done to everyone involved!
On Wednesday the 9th of December we had visit from Dublin footballer Dean Rock and the Sam Maguire cup. Dean spoke to us about what it takes to become a Dublin footballer and what is involved in the training. Hopefully in a few years time a few of our past pupils will be coming back to our hall with the Sam Maguire

We are very proud of one of our 6th Class pupils who recently received a special award in recognition of her achievements in Music and Dance. This will most certainly be the first of many!!!

On Wednesday the 11th of November two members of the Irish army arrived at our school to present us with an Irish flag and our very own copy of the proclamation of the Irish Republic. We learnt how to look after our flag and what the colours represent. We also had a very special visitor, John Stephenson, whose grandfather fought at the GPO in 1916.

Mr Cronin’s 6th Class have had a very busy year so far! We have had trips to the Botanic Gardens, Creativity in the Classroom, Tag Rugby and lots lots more. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to…
