Visually Impaired Workshop with Child Vision
5th Class students were very lucky to attend a Visually Impaired Workshop run by Child Vision on Wednesday 27th January 2016 at the Ark Theatre, Temple Bar.
All students were fully engaged in activities like learning to write their names in Braille, reading and writing wearing altered glasses, completing puzzles with blindfolds and walking blindfolded with assistance/walking sticks.
All activities were designed to show how things we take for granted can be for visually impaired people. If you get a chance, ask some of 5th class about their experiences of the activities you can see in the pictures.
Yard Time @ St. James’s P.S.
A stop motion video made with the help of some of the 3rd and 5th class students, to show how we can behave ‘fairly and safely’ on yard, following our school yard rules.
Christmas Newsletter 2015
Our Christmas Newsletter 2015 was available to take home prior to the holidays. Here is a link to the newsletter if you were unfortunate not to pick one up at reception from school.
Thank you to Ms. O’Dwyer for all the hard work putting it together.
